No. Most of our members are people who enjoy learning about art rather than making it. Anyone with an interest in the fine arts is welcome.

All ten lectures, presented across five afternoons from October through April, with beverages and cookies served.
It also puts you on the list for our luncheons, the annual tea, and special programs for a discounted rate. Those carry their own fee, announced with each event.

July 1 through June 30. Everyone renews in July, so the whole membership is on the same schedule.

No. Lectures are free to members and need no registration — just come. Doors open at 12:30 and the talks run from 1:00 to 3:00.

Yes, with payment in advance. Every event has a registration deadline published with it.
We can't accept late registrations, walk-ins, or payment at the door. Our venue needs final headcounts and meal selections well ahead of time, and we're held to those numbers.

At lectures, guests pay $10 at the door. Please bring cash or a check — we aren't able to take cards at lectures.
For luncheons and programs, guests register separately and pay the guest rate.
You can pay for yourself and your guests together in one checkout.

Yes. Fill in the registration form first so we have your details, then mail your check. The address appears on screen when you submit the form.

You'll receive a confirmation email. That email is what confirms your place.
If you registered and didn't get one, email info@wsartsociety.org before the registration deadline so we can sort it out.

We aren't able to offer refunds — the venue charges us on the final count either way.
But another member or a guest may take your place. Let us know their name
before the event so we can update the meal count and the name tags.

Yes — our lectures are given by members. Each year a group of them picks a subject, researches it, and shares what they found.
The 2026–27 series is full, but we're planning 2027–28 now. Members who present a lecture have their dues waived for that year.
